Professor Rajneesh Narula, Director

Rajneesh Narula OBE is the Director of both the Dunning Africa Centre and the John Dunning Centre for international business. He is a Professor of International Business Regulation at the Henley Business School. He has published over 150 articles and chapters in books and is considered to be one of the world’s leading experts in international Business. He is passionate about improving the development outcomes from foreign investment across the developing world. He regularly acts as a consultant and advisor to the European Commission, UNIDO, UNCTAD and the OECD, World Bank, as well as a variety of other international organisations, governments, and consulting firms. In 2017, he was appointed an Honorary Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE). The honour is in recognition of his Services to Business Research. He is a regular commentator on business and economics issues on BBC World News, Sky News, TRT World, CGTN, as well as a variety of print and online publications.

Dr. Cristian Luise, Assistant Director

Cristian Luise is the Assistant Director of the Dunning Centre for International Business. He is a Lecturer in International Business & Strategy at Henley Business School. Cristian’s research spans the fields of International Business Strategy, Organisational Theory and Political Economy. He is combining these three fields to develop a theoretical framework that explains the governance of viable resource and wealth creation and its distribution in the context of multinational foreign expansion in infrastructure, health care and education industries. Lastly, Cristian is involved in projects that aim at improving methodological rigor in research. Cristian’s research has been published in the Journal of International business Policy and Journal of International Business Studies.


Dr J. Eduardo Ibarra-Olivo, Assistant Director for Latin America

Eduardo Ibarra-Olivo is the Assistant Director for Latin America and oversees the strategy and operations of the Dunning Latin America Centre. He is a lecturer in International Business and Strategy at Henley Business School. Eduardo’s research agenda lies at the intersection between Economic Geography and International Business, focusing on the broader social and developmental impacts of multinational enterprises in both emerging home and host countries, especially Latin America. He’s research has been published in the Journal of International Business Policy, Papers in Regional Science, World Economy among others.
