Projects and Publications
The John Madejski Centre for Reputation's academic staff research a wide variety of topics and publish extensively. A list of recent articles and books authored by our faculty can be found on their staff profiles and some of the highlights are listed below.
A key piece of the JMCR's research is the Charity Starts at Home project, in which Professor Kevin Money and Dr Irene Garnelo Gómez explore the drivers and barrier of volunteering, particularly in areas of economically challenged areas. This was featured in Leading Impact, Henley Business School's newsletter on especially noteworthy research co-ordinated by the World of Work team.
The JMCR's research has also received several funding grants from external partners. These include Professor Carola Hillenbrand's Research England Official Development Assistance fund, awarded in January 2026 to explore restorative organising in South Africa, RECEK funding that was awarded in November 2025 to explore the impact of interconnected organisational signals on polarisation and a grant from the HiPP Fund awarded in September 2025 to explore a multi-stakeholder view of pain management.
Professor Money's work is featured in an interview for the Baseline podcast, in which he draws on his research into behaviour, reputation and trust to look beyond productivity and performance to the impact artificial intelligence can have on identity, confidence and the way we see ourselves. In the podcast, Professor Money unpacks how individuals can harness artificial intelligence whilst staying grounded in their skills and identity to add value to the world.
