Description
In this session, insights from Dr Benita Mayhead’s award-winning research on the duty of care in coaching will be shared. Together, we’ll explore key questions of “what does duty of care really mean?” and “how do we enact it in our work as coaches, mentors, and coaching supervisors?” This topic lies at the very heart of professional practice, yet we rarely pause to examine it closely. The session will unpack the complex and multi-dimensional nature of duty of care, offering space to reflect on its systemic implications. Relevant for both emerging and experienced practitioners, this session provides an opportunity to deepen understanding from a research-informed perspective and to challenge assumptions about what duty of care truly means in professional practice. It starts with us in how we explore, understand, and enact our own duty of care, a responsibility we hold for our clients and ourselves.
*Please note this session will not be recorded.
