Overview

This programme is designed to further upskill individuals who have earned our Postgraduate Diploma for Business Administration. It presents additional modules to expand on their existing knowledge, enabling them to lead with greater expertise. Completion of this course provides the opportunity to achieve the Henley Flexible Executive MBA.

Key benefits

Cohorts start two to three times per year. The start date depends on the date a learner successfully completes their Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration.

Fellow students may have studied the Senior Leader Apprenticeship or Stages 1 and 2 of the MBA.

To join this programme, individuals will need to have successfully completed the following:

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration. This is the post-apprenticeship programme academic assessment. Henley’s academic panel will assess the work-based projects completed as part of the apprenticeship. Learners will receive the Postgraduate Diploma if these assignments meet the required academic standard. They can then progress to complete the MBA.

* Once learners hold an offer for the Senior Leader Apprenticeship | Business Administration, they will be able to formally request a place for progression onto the MBA. No further application will be necessary. Progression is subject to the above entry requirements.

Stage 3 of the Henley Flexible Executive MBA requires further study and a fee of £11,000.

Discounts

An early bird discount of 30% is available to all learners who express an interest before the end of their second Senior Leader Apprenticeship | Business Administration workshop.

Corporate rates are available for organisations sending more than 35 learners – please enquire.

The final stage of the Flexible Executive MBA lasts for nine months. It begins with a two-day starter workshop to orient learners onto the MBA, focussing on personal development and research skills.

There are three compulsory modules and an elective module:

Compulsory modules Credits

The Management Research Challenge (MRC) is a major project that offers the apprenticeship learner the opportunity to demonstrate practical research skills in identifying a significant organisational issue, problem or gap in management knowledge. They will design an appropriate data collection and analysis process and present the supported recommendations for practice.

It aims to:

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of key research skills for a management based investigation;
  • Prepare, implement and evaluate an appropriate research process that investigates a relevant business issue, management question or gap in knowledge;
  • Demonstrate awareness of appropriate use of methodology, theory, data, and critical use of literature;
  • Undertake a piece of original research in management and present findings and recommendations in line with the type of project chosen;
  • Integrate and consolidate learning from relevant MBA subject areas and apply this to a real business problem or gap in knowledge .
