Whether you're aiming to start your own business, join an SME or work for a big corporation, Reading Entrepreneurs can help give you the tools, resources and confidence you need.

The Entrepreneurship Society is entirely student-led and was launched by HCfE in 2014, in partnership with Reading Students' Union. It is the biggest non-sport society on campus and runs several events throughout the academic year, including guest speaker talks, lectures and more. Most significant is the Entrepreneurship Conference, a networking event launched in 2020 that featured several successful business leaders sharing their insights on starting and growing a business. The full news release from the 2022 event is available to read here.

The Society President for the 2023/24 academic year is Ellen Whysall, a BA Accounting and Management student.

Speaking about becoming the new President, Ellen said: "It is an honour to have been appointed as the 2023/24 President of the Reading Entrepreneurship Society! We have an amazing committee assembled whose passion and enthusiasm for entrepreneurship will enable us to push the society to new heights. There are big plans this year with a new lineup of exciting events where we aim to delve into relevant and thought-provoking topics alongside hopefully launching a pilot entrepreneurial project with a local company to give society members first-hand entrepreneurial experience."
